She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schave and Martha Schave (Linetty); her daughter Mary Oesterreich; her siblings, Georgine Mill and Tom Schave; her nephew John Mill; her in-laws, Alfred and Lucy Mathia; and her brother-in-law Howard Kotlowski.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughters, Laura Chipman (Chuck), Ann Belau (Mark) and Shelly Kastenschmidt (Derek); her grandchild Robb Mathia (Molly); her son-in-law Steve Oesterreich; her sister Judy Goyette (Jim); and her sister-in-law Lois Kotlowski. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Joan's name.
