He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilard Sheppard and Violet Sheppard (Brown); his wife Joyce Tessin of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Gilbert Sheppard Jr. and Ginger Lynn Sheppard; and his brother Hilard Sheppard Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Michael Sheppard (Sue) of Ripon, WI and Jennifer Henderson (John) of Lawton, OK. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
