He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Karst and Jean Hoffman (Porter); and his siblings, Roger Karst and Diana Karst. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Sue Karst of Ripon; his son Daniel Joseph Karst of Ripon; his stepchildren, Melissa Kemnitz of Ripon, Christine Stephen of Ripon and Richard Kemnitz of Ripon; and his siblings, Don Karst, Millie Atchison, Joe Karst, Ricky Karst and Cathy Karst. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
