She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hanson and Frieda Hanson (Arnold); and her husband Joseph Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Joe Taylor of Rio and Jill Taylor of Rio; her grandchildren, Cody Meixner, Kaylee Meixner (Shandon), Christian DeGroff (Rainia), Cole DeGroff (Ariana), Amanda Thompson, Sara Cross and Jessie Thompson; and her siblings, Kitty Garfoot and Vadney Hanson (Nickie). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, to be used in memory of Joan.
