He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Stroik and Evelyn Stroik (Grzywacz); his brothers, William and Daniel; his sisters-in-law, Carol Stroik and Marcia Hoffman; and his close friend Tom Pflieger.

He is survived by: his wife Jan (Jan); his sons, Mike (Tracey), Jeff (Patti) and Brad (Sarah); his grandchildren, Angel Stroik and Teagan Stroik; his stepgrandchild Dakota Tesch; his stepgreat-grandchild Aubreigh Tesch; his siblings, Richard, Ron (Jenny), Gary (Julie), Cheryl Raczek (Tony), Karen Tekippe and Janel Dunaj (Dick); and his family Dr. Michael Umland.
