He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Slagel and Darlene Slagel (Rogers); his children, Roxanne Knutson, Kathy Wuorenma and Donald Dodge; and his former wife Mavis Gavin (Fawcett).
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Fawcett; his children, Douglas Slagel of Ridgeland, Carol Walther (Jim Smith) of Minong, WI, Clara Minor and Pauline Bents (Dale) of Hillsdale; his grandchildren, McKale, Michael Slagel and McKenna Glaser (Travis); and his siblings, Brad Slagel (Helen) of Ridgeland and Bonnie Fokken (Tom) of Iowa. He is also survived by 9 other grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
