He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Della Gander Longmire (Cecil Longmire) and Ray Smith; and his uncle James Gander. He is survived by: his parents, Ivan Drake of Arizona and Terrie J. Gander of Richland Center; his brother Cody Climf (Brook Bronstand); his nephew Layne Climf; his niece Rylee Climf; his grandmother Joan Smith; his aunts and uncles, Jerry Gander (Karee), Bruce Gander (Tricia), Diane Gander, June McCauley (Duane), Randy Gander (Beth), Judy Smith, Linda Clark, Laura Erickson, Steve Smith, Toni Smith and Barbara Weaverstad; and his extended family, Sarah Davidson, Kaliska Gander, Kaiden Gander, Karena Smith, Sequoya Smith, Indica Smith and Haley Jo Davidson. He is also survived by son other relatives and friends.

Upon his death he was able to give life to others through organ donation.
