He was predeceased by: his parents, Delazon Gathright and Nellie Gathright (Johnston); his wife Ruth (Bailie); his siblings, Dorothy M. Hewuse, Marguerite L. Mead, Sarah M. Mead (Sadie) and Edward; and his son-in-law Alex Blohowiak.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne, Phillip Gathright of Madison and Sharon Blohowiak; and his grandsons, Simon and Henry of Monticello.
