He is survived by: his friend Gary Zillion; his children, Danya Teiwes and Evan Teiwes; his grandchildren, Kaden and Kylie; his sister Ruth Teiwes of Batavia, IL; his sisters-in-law, Marge Teiwes of Wheaton, IL and Sue Teiwes of Wheaton, IL; his nieces and nephews, Harry Teiwes Jr. of Wheaton, IL, Cindy Bolds (Alan) of Wheaton, IL, Jeff Teiwes (Rebecca) of Palatine, IL, Mark Teiwes (Becky) of Edinburg, Texas, Jenny Collier (Bob) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Joe Klein (Denise) of Cape Coral, FL; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sara Bolds, Samuel Bolds (Katelyn), Hannah Helfert (Ian), Caleb, Jude Teiwes, Aiden, Ava Teiwes, Nathan Henson and Natalie Klein.

Memorial donations can be made to Agrace or designated to the David Teiwes Memorial Music Scholarship Fund, which will support students with the intent to study instrumental music education, to bring the same love of music to others that he did for so many years.
