Ella June Ahlgren Obituary

Ella June Ahlgren, 15, of Richfield, WI died after a battle with Burkitt Leukemia on 6/28/2024.

Ella was born in Menomonee Falls in 2009 to Angie and Jeremy Ahlgren. She attended Germantown High School, and played saxophone in the concert band and Wall of Sound marching band. She was patient and kind and intelligent. Ella loved reading, playing with her sister, baking, music, and soccer. Sheleaves behind many close friends and a loving family who will miss her dearly. Ella wanted everyone to know that she didn't give up, savored each day she could, and has simply gone onto her next adventure.

Ella is survived by her parents, her sister Gabby, her Grandparents Sara and Steve Balm and Marcia and Roger Ahlgren, aunts and uncles Alisa and Ben Oliver, and their children Lexi and Lincoln, Darren Ahlgren and his children Annie and Theo, Elisa Vicuña and Brett Ahlgren and their son Oscar, Aaron Balm and Great- Grandmothers Darline Balm-Demmel, Lois Wasmoen and Carole Ahlgren. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her cousin Aubrey Jo Oliver.

Ella and her family would like to thank all the wonderful and kind staff and providers of the oncology department at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

The visitation for Ella will be held at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 3PM until 6PM with a special performance by members of the Wall of Sound Marching Band at 5PM. Ella's celebration of life service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, W156 N8131 Pilgrim Rd., Menomonee Falls. The service will also be live streamed at https://holycrosslutheran.org. A private burial will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon.

Ella would like people to wear bright colors to her service in celebration of her life. Also at Ella's request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the MACC Fund would be greatly appreciated.
