He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hackel and Josephine Hackel (Fischer); and his siblings, Helen, Francis, John, Richard, Robert and Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Grace Roelke; his children, William Jr., Kathleen, Scott (Pat) and Nancy (Joe); his grandchildren, Amy, Nicholas, Katrina, David, Melissa, Sarah, Michael, Jennifer and Daniel; and his brother Lawrence. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
