Gail Helmer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2021, at the age of 75, Gail Helmer of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gail Helmer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Olstad and Lucille Olstad (Waller); her former husband Pat Miley; her husband Gene Helmer; her grandparents, Ruth Waller and Harry Olstad; her nephew Michael Olstad; and her brother Larry Olstad.
She is survived by: her sons, Shaun Miley (Jacki) of Cape Coral, FL and Aaron Miley (Laura) of Chetek, WI; her stepchildren, Butch Helmer of Red Wing, WI and Debbie Helmer of Knapp, WI; her grandchildren, Isaac Miley of New York, Jonah Miley of Cape Coral, FL, Haddie Miley and Ayda Miley of Chetek, WI; her stepgrandsons, Nick and Luke Helmer; her sister Barb Olstad Kelly (Ken) of Great Falls, MT; and her nieces and nephews, Dale Olstad of Oklahoma City, Steven Olstad of Edmond, OK, Amanda Kelly Norlin of Great Falls, MT and Elizabeth Smith of Edmond, OK. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She created the first Alzheimer's Unit at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home and had also served as their Director of Nursing for quite a few years.
