She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Van Norman and Lois Norman; her husband Don Gerland; her children, Suzanne Sweet of Bowie, Bruce Gerland and Tod Gerland (Joan) of Rice Lake; her grandchildren, Skyler Stevens (Dillon) of Kasson, Samantha Gerland of Wheaton and Daniel Gerland of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and her sister Sue Mekkelson of Williamsport, Maryland. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, UW-EC Barron County Art Department or Marshfield Medical Center-Rice Lake Home Health and Hospice.
