She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Cairns and Pearl Cairns (Briggs); her spouse Thomas LaChapelle; and her siblings, Judy Flatten and Ronald Cairns.
She is survived by: her son Thomas, II of Barron; and her brother-in-law Fred Flatten (Crystal) of Superior. She is also survived by nephews and cousins.
