He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Boom and Catherine Vande Boom (Weiss); and his siblings, Leo, Edna Gall, Desma Kraus and Ione Schwenker.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Moegenburg; and his children, Vicki Gauerke, Sherri Krueger (Scott), Randy Vande Boom (Jan) and Dale Vande Boom (Sara). He is also survived by ten loving grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
