He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sopata and Bernice Sopata (Zajac); his stepdaughter Susan Momont; and his brother Walter Sopata. He is survived by: his wife Rita Harden-Momont; his sons, Todd Sopata (Kathy) of Weston, Mark Sopata (Kim) of Weston, Jeff Sopata (Rhonda) of Weston and Brad Sopata (Robin); his stepson Mike Momont (Terra); his grandchildren, Josh, Tyler Sopata, Matt, Sarah Sopata, Allison Schjoth and Mitchel Sopata; his stepgrandchildren, Katherine, Caroline, Nathan and Rylan; his great grandchildren, Tessa, Maple, Gavin and Liam; and his brother Tom Sopata.
