With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley E. Wiitala of Rib Lake, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Golder and Alvina Golder (Vachnitz). She is survived by: her husband Ardin Wiitala Sr.; and her children, Bobby Wiitala (Diana Deboth), Larry Wiitala (Lori), Donna Fuchs (Richard), Smokey Wiitala (Nancy), Susie Rasmussen (Gary), Mary Harder (Glenn), Kenny Wiitala (Grace), Ronnie "Hermie" Wiitala (Kris) and Adam Wiitala (Giovanni). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 39 great- grandchildren, with 2 on the way, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (859 Fayette Ave, Rib Lake, WI 54470). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
