She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Johnson and Wanda "Jane" Johnson (Fickel); her brothers, Joseph Johnson and Wayne Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Jim and Betty Kauer.

She is survived by: her husband Ben Kauer of Rib Lake, WI; her children, Jack Kauer (Tammy Bortz) of Rib Lake, WI, Neil Kauer (Darlene) of Rib Lake, WI and Marijane Viergutz (Jason) of Dorchester, WI; her siblings-in-law, Ron Kauer (Mary) of Rib Lake, WI, Dorene Johnson of Ogema, WI, Mary Ann Schlosser (Ray) of Rib Lake, WI and Colette Froehlich (Dave) of Rhinelander, WI.; and her grandchildren, Riley and Madeline Viergutz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (513 State Rd, Rib Lake, WI 54470). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
