He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubert Dieter and Lucreda Dieter (Propp); his wife Mary Dieter (Anderson); his siblings-in-law, Gene Anderson, Jay Anderson, Tom Smith, Marie Anderson and Phyllis Anderson; his nephew Rick Anderson; and his niece Jennifer Laue.
He is survived by: his sons, Dieter Auto Body and Royce Dieter (Melissa) of Rib Lake, WI; his grandchildren, Heather Thome (Zachary) of Richland Center and Nicholas Pauls (Vincent Suha) of Madison, WI; his great grandchildren, Clara and Emma Thome; and his siblings, Rose Barry (Ted), Dennis Dieter (Dianne), Robert Dieter (Sue), Alvin Dieter (Linda), Gary Dieter (Deb), Dianna Kepler (Kirk), David Dieter (Cindy), Lynda Smith and Darrell Dieter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
