He is survived by: his parents, Jerome Nelson and Sharon Nelson (Jensen); his wife Joan Winkler (Winkler); his children, Stephanie Nelson and Jonathon Nelson (Jessica); his grandsons, Max and Lucas; his siblings, Debbie Behm (Gary), Jill Ohm (James), Craig Nelson (Lori) and Jerome Nelson Jr.; and also Winkler. He is also survived by family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Service, Inc. (134 N Stevens St, Rhinelander, WI 54501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (724 Arbutus St, Rhinelander, WI 54501).
