He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Kriesel and Margaret Kriesel (Blakely); his son James Kriesel; his sister Jean Taylor; his in-laws, Adam and Marion Netzer; and his sisters-in-law, Dena Kriesel and Kay Zimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie; his sons, Phil Kriesel (Amy), Jake Kriesel (Dawn) and David Kriesel; his siblings, Richard Kriesel, Phil Kriesel (Jean), Joyce Schreiber (Dale), June Vandenberg (Jim), Cindy Uecker (Rick), Dan Netzer (Trudy), Elaine Kirsling (Pete), Janine Struve (Mark) and Chris Zimmer; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Krystal, Taylor and Nick. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in John's name and any gifts may be directed to his family.
