It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Earl Meirhofer of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Meirhofer and Isabelle Meirhofer (Gilson); his former wife Cleone; and his brother George. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Deborah Alsteen (Rueben), Davina Krause (David) and Damon Meirhofer (Jackie); his stepchildren, Paul O'Malley, John O'Malley and Michelle Oftel (Jason); his grandchildren, Jerrick, Jason, Jacob, Alivia, Nicole, Joseph, Devon, Daryn, Della, Liam, Luke and Ella; and his sisters, Pat, Dawn and Diane (Charlie). He is also survived by his fifteen great grandchildren.
