It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Wayne Zwickey (Rhinelander, Wisconsin), born in Evansville, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Zwickey and Lula B. Zwickey (Pritchard); his wives, Gaye Ingemunson and Pauline; his brother Harold Jr.; and also Carrie Zimmer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jean Krueger (Kevin) and Dawn Berndt (Terry); his sister Betty Vig; and also, Michael Piehl (Karen), Nancy Theroux (Calvin), Tom Zimmer, David Zimmer (Annette), Steve Zimmer (Dena), Erin Lundmark (Zach), Megan Gennings (Joey), Jake Theroux, Amy Gallagan (Steve), Brian Theroux, Matt Theroux, Hannah Sonsalla (Deion), Ian Zimmer, Ryan Zimmer, Sammi Zimmer, Rylee Lundmark, Reagan Lundmark, Kaydence Nickaboine, Andrew Gallagan, Soleia Sonsalla, Remington Gennings and Rori Gennings. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that all donations be made to Wild Instincts of Rhinelander in the name of Douglas Zwickey.
