She is survived by: her husband Paul Schmidt; her children, Steig Schmidt (Kristen), Lenka Hougen (Michael) and Arah Schimdt; her grandchildren, Marann Schmidt (Orlando), Mallory Peitersen (Trey), Cole Schmidt (Alexia), Keagan Hougen and Paden Hougen; her great grandchild Alyana Peitersen; her sisters, Jeanne Pelz (Neal), LuAnn Conley and Rhonda Kramer (Tom); her siblings-in-law, Shann Schwartz (Dave), Steve Schmidt (Lori) and Bill Schmidt (Sylvia); and her nieces and nephews, Amelia, Morgan, Gaya, Marisa, Bria of Edward, DJ, Skip, Christopher, Deedy, Creig, Bryce, Bret, Kelly, Nathan, Nick, Hannah, Cora and Will.
A memorial fund is being established in Michele's name.
