We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2023, at the age of 96, Shirley M. Burmester of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mahr and Helen Mahr (Vodak); her husband William Burmester; her siblings, Billy Mahr, Doug Mahr, Donald Mahr and Ardene Montgomery; and her siblings-in-law, Jeneane Mahr and Jim Montgomery.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Burmester (Mary), Roxanne Roloff (Jack) and Lori Gavin (Robert); her grandchildren, Kyle, Kali Burmester, Beth Hamacher (Matt), Nate Roloff (Sara), Jim Gavin (Jenni) and Matt Gavin; her great grandchildren, Ella, Jack, Graham, Hattie, Beau, Claire and Ava; and her sister-in-law Janet Mahr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sauk County Health Care Center Activities Department, Reedsburg Public Library, or St. John's Lutheran Church.
