He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sersland and Karol Sersland (Benson); his former wife Sandy Setzer; his father-in-law Nestor Moreno; and his aunt Guillermina Moreno.

He is survived by: his wife Nelly Moreno; his daughter Bailey; his stepson Eric Taylor (Karen); his sister Cheryl Cline (Dennis); his mother-in-law Armida Moreno; his brother-in-law Duber Moreno (Sandra); his cousin Judy Lynch (Mike); his godchildren, Nathan, Isla, Angie, Jazleah and Nicolas; his close friends, Scott and Nancy Armbrust; and his stepgrandchildren, Luke and Lacey Taylor. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
