He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil DeBaets and Kathryne DeBaets (Stabnaw); his brothers, Eugene, William, Robert and Bernard; and his siblings-in-law, Judith DeBaets, David Bohatta and Paul Hoffmeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Bohatta; his children, Laura Koenig (Bruce) of Loganville, Linda White (Jerry) of Reedsburg, Ellen Lind (Jeff Luniak) of Appleton and Daniel DeBaets (Susan) of Reedsburg; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Carl James, Nathan, Kelly, Ryan, Jessica, Jacob, Kevin, Bryan and Joshua; his brother Donald; and his sisters-in-law, Elisabeth DeBaets, Patricia DeBaets, Arlene Farber (Walter), Connie Hoffmeyer, Gayle Bohatta and Carolyn O'Brien (Bill). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
It is preferred that memorials be made to the family.
