He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Thies and Martha Thies; his wife Margaret; his sister Mary; his sister-in-law Glee; and his pet Roscoe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marthlena Schellenberger (Dean) and Paula Thies; his grandchildren, Ron (Jenna), Andrew (Sara) and Jennifer; his great grandchild Luke; his siblings, Orrlen (Sharon), Ed (Elsa), Eldoris, Gert and Don Harms (Dorothy); and his pet Max. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
