It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Jerome Hackbarth of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gustav Ferdinand and Goldie Emily Hackbarth (Pauck); his wife Eleanor E. Johnson (Wentworth); and his sister Susan. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Hackbarth (Kathy) of Waukesha, Donna Graham of Tomahawk, Judy Hackbarth Streich of Waukesha, Susan Hackbarth Dostal of Franklin and Mary Wiese (Art) of Mesquite, TX; his stepchildren, Steven Johnson (Lisa) and Wanda Giesbrecht (Dale Darragh); and his siblings, Carol Krueger of Walterloo, Eugene "Gene" Hackbarth of Reedsburg, Dale Hackbarth of California and Joan Hackbarth of Marshall. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Memorials of remembrance may be made to Faith Lutheran Church of Reedsburg in lieu of flowers.
