He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Arkin and Beatrice Arkin (Leroux); and his brother Raymond Arkin. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl J. Hermann of Reedsburg; his sons, Grady Arkin (Veronica) of Windsor, CO and Andy Arkin (Rebecca) of Portage; his grandchildren, Owen Arkin (Bailyn), Tanner Arkin and Carmen Arkin; and his brother-in-law Jim Hermann (Nanette) of Alpharetta, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School or the American Diabetes Association.
