He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Casper and Magdaline Deschler (McGee); and his sister Patty Jach (Peter). He is survived by: his wife Patty Deschler of Redgranite, WI; his children, Mary Quade of Berlin, WI and Joey Deschler (Marlene) of Spring Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Alex Quade (Jaclyn), Ryan Quade (Brooke Wielgosh), Logan, Mariah and Addison Deschler; his great grandchildren, Maddison, Avery, Brooklyn Quade, Raynee, Liam and Hunter Quade; and his brother Peter Deschler (Gina). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was a member of Golf Course Superintendents of America, the Northern Great Lakes Association and the Wee One Foundation.
