She was predeceased by: her parents, August Posthuma and Jessie Posthuma (Dykstra); the father of her children Norris Tamminga; her husband Walter Braaksma; her son James Tamminga; her siblings, Margaret White (Henry), Henry Posthuma (Leona) and Juliette Posthuma; and her brother-in-law Jerry Lively.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Schumann (Jerry) of Merrimac, WI and Marlene Alsum (Randy) of Randolph; her stepdaughter Debra Wolff; her daughter Valerie; her grandchildren, Carla Easland (Andy), Jeff Schumann, Tammie Tietz (Tom), Darren Alsum (Jerilyn), Tanya Stiemsma (Jason) and Derick Alsum; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Ella Schumann, Kiana, Kayah, Casen Tietz, Colton, Piper Alsum, Tyler and Kylah Stiemsma; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caden and Sienna Easland; and her sister Evelyn Lively of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
