He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burie and Luella Eloise Burie (Young); his siblings, Lloyd, Vivian Gaffney-Dover and Leila Kerwell; and his close friend Jim Whalen.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Burie (Ellen) of Oshkosh, Gordon Burie (Tobi) of Ashwaubenon and Debbie Seifert (William) of Beaver Dam; his brothers, Frank Jr. (Lena), Michael Burie (Sandy) of Madison, Dan Burie (Gae) of Waukesha, Bill Burie (Karen) and Ed Kerwell (Gerry) of Appleton; and the mother of his children Judi Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
