She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Anthony Hickel and Emma Pauline Zecha; her siblings, Gertude Hickel, Kay Stalker, Vi McCafferty, Maxine Hickel, Walter Hickel, Elmer Hickel, Vernon Hickel and Robert "Bobby" Hickel; and her great grandchild Gabrielle Pappathopoulos.
She is survived by: her sisters, Gertrude and Patty Degner-Keenan; and her children, Verne Harnish, Kathleen Harnish McKune (David), Sharon Borde (Dennis) and Karen Diskin-Dickson (Lyle). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
