He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stephan and Pearl Stephan (Ulrich); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Stephan, Connie Mordja, John Amann, Jackie and Keith Kollmann.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Amann; his daughters, Kathleen Born (Ralph) of El Paso, TX, Karen Hagen (Michael) of Racine and Jennifer Thut (Kirk) of Racine; his grandchildren, Adam Born (Anna), Daniel Born (Jenna), Jared Born (Angela), Anders Hagen (Meghan), Amanda Hagen, Anneke Thut and Jakob Thut; his great grandchildren, Lyla, Chloe, Morgan, Amber, Gianna, Brooklyn, Aria, Cadence, Brielle and Sadie; his brother Robert Stephan; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Amann and Dennis Mordja. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association and First Evangelical Lutheran Church are appreciated.
