He is survived by: his wife Diann Root; his son Blake (Kati Martensen); his brothers, Eric Root (Jackie) and Paul Root (Tammy); his siblings-in-law, Barb Christensen, Ed Stuckey (Tricia) and Robert Stuckey (Fran); his nephews, Kevin Stuckey (Erin), Paul Stuckey (Heidi), Sam Root and Josh Root; his great-nephews, Andrew and Anthony; his great-niece Amelia Stuckey; and his pets, Grover and Zelda.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory (4600 County Line Rd, Mt Pleasant, WI 53403). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial SuggestionsIn lieu of flowers, the family has established an Endowment in Rich's name at his alma mater, Kansas State University Foundation, Richard Root Scholarship.
