It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Veenstra (Racine, Wisconsin), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ann and Rose Ann; her husband Charles C Veenstra; her siblings, Azel "Peggy" Maile, Charles "Bud" Sinclair and Harold "Dick" Sinclair; and her siblings-in-law, Audrey Luedke and Garrett "Bud" Veenstra.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Hansen of Racine, Charles "Chick" Veenstra, Jr. (Pamela) of Maryville, TN, Richard Veenstra (Deborah Havey) of Shorewood, WI and Douglas Veenstra of Racine; her grandchildren, Beverly Multerer (Mark Bunker) of Seattle, WA, Erin Mirabella (Chris) of Colorado Spring, CO, Rebecca Groff (Tim) of Omaha, NE and Annabella Graves of Albuquerque, NM; and her great grandchildren, Micah, Lindsey, Eli Mirabella, Charles Payne and Olivia Groff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
With the onset of covid she moved to her daughter's home in early 2020.
