Gloria Martin Obituary
The passing of Gloria Martin (Racine, Wisconsin) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James M. Martin; her daughters, Margaret, Mary Elizabeth and Catherine Martin; and her parents, Sophie Andekian and Arsen Andekian.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Martin, Rebecca Matejewski (Michael) and Sarah Smith (Thomas); her grandchildren, Michael, Rachel Matejewski, James and Christopher Smith; and her brother Sarkis Andekian (Seta). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church (4605 Erie St, Racine, WI 53402). A committal service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery (6401 N 43rd St, Milwaukee, WI 53209).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's name to the James M. Martin Memorial Scholarship, c/o UWM Foundation Inc, or to St. Mesob Armenian Apostolic Church. For the scholarship, please make the checks out to "UWM Foundation Inc." and include "James M. Martin Memorial Scholarship" in the memo.
