He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Caroline; his son Timothy; and his siblings, Kenneth, Charles, Eugene, Jeanette, Dorothy Ekblad and Betty Jarlsberg.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest, LuAnn Hansen (Steven), Katherine Ewing (David), Pamela Wahlen, Michael Wahlen and Jennifer Workman (Beth); his grandchildren, Christopher Hansen (Maria), Nicholas Hansen (Annamarie), Amanda Grunewald (Mike), Matthew Ewing (Macy), Jeffrey Ewing, Anna Ewing-Whitmire (Casey), Alicia Bohman (Kurt), Benjamin Wahlen, Sarah Workman (Ashley Plochocki), Andrew Malats-Workman (Nathalie), Joseph Workman (Jordan) and Mary Workman (Trent); his great grandchildren, Thea, Oliver Hansen, Julian Grunewald, Flynn, Paisley, Gibson Ewing, Lincoln, Harper Bohman, Parker Workman, Grayson, Nathaniel and Ibiabryn Rose Malats-Workman; and his sisters, Ruth Kristof (Richard) and Carol Kugel (Melvin).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (716 College Ave, Racine, WI 53403).
