Paul Seth Meitner wrote a sympathy message

“Mr. E was my grade school teacher, coach, and a good friend of my own father and mother during a very difficult time in their lives. Personally, he taught me the meaning of the word "grit." It didn't matter what gifts God had given you or how lacking you felt your gifts were in your own eyes. Leave everything out on the field, for God, for your teammates, and for your own peace of mind. He lived what he taught, and I will be forever grateful that God placed him in my life. - Rev. P.S. Meitner”
