With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delores Jean Sims of Racine, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Frances; her sister Verneda Hausmann; her granddaughter Cherolynn Marie First; her brothers, Herbert Westmoreland and Daryl Westmoreland; her nephew Michael Westmoreland Sr.; her brothers-in-law, Gene Hausmann, Dr. Eugene Sims and William Sims, Jr. (Wilma); her nephews, Jimmy, Carnell and William III; her close friends, Ruby Marsh and Pat Czarnowski; and also, William Sims Sr. and Mary Ann Blythe.
She is survived by: her children, Morris Sims, Jr. (Theresa), Brian Sims, Deborah Sims-Brown (Alonzo) and Carolyn Sims-Settersten (Rodney); her grandchildren, Jamie Sims-Prewitt (Carla), Jason Sims-Prewitt (Akpomo), Ashley Williams, Antonia Torres, Patrick Sims (Kayla), Cherise First and Kimberly Basma; her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Josiah, Anayah, Dejah, Zion and Lijah Sims-Prewitt; her grandchildren, Breanna Williams, Phiara, Phariah Sims, Aaron, Ian and Aria Alvarez-Basma; her siblings, Sandra Love, Phyllis Lott, Ronnie Westmoreland (Arbutus), Robert Westmoreland (Rosalinda), Lamont Westmoreland (Martina) and Thomas Westmoreland (Rhonda); her nieces, Diane Barkley (Robert) and Theresa Tomlin (Charlie); her sister-in-law Yvonne Sims; and her close friend Cheryl Davis. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home (4600 County Line Rd, Mt Pleasant, WI 53403). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
