She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Beerntsen and Mildred Beerntsen; her sister Joanne Carbonneau; and her brother-in-law Frank Patriarca. She is survived by: her sister Patricia Patriarca; her brother-in-law John Carbonneau; her nieces and nephews, Traci Verwey (Ray Verwey), Jeff Patriarca, Dwayne Carbonneau, Deanne Carbonneau and Tim Patriarca (James Wang); her great-niece Amanda Verwey; and her great-nephew Shane Verwey. She is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Memorials to the Racine Zoo, Riverbend Nature Center or Music and More have been suggested by the family.
