He is survived by: his wife Karen Wichman; his children, Jacqueline Bergquist (Mark Roberts), Tammy Lipsey (Michael) and Jay Schmidt (Tammy); his grandchildren, Jordyn, Kayla, Austin, Samantha, Tyler and Camryn; his siblings, Andrew Schmidt (Faye), Dorthy Ertl and Evelyn Schultz (John); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Schmidt and Larry Waldhauser. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
