He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Fischer and Frieda Fischer (Krause); and his siblings, Arnold, Edmund and Caroline.

He is survived by: his wife Jenny Zahn; his son Scott (Carol); his grandchildren, David, Sarah, Benjamin and Samuel; and his son Mitchell Fischer.
