He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Stevens and Marie Stevens (Kussman); his son-in-law Daniel Hoffman; his siblings, Donald, Frances, Joann and John; and his pet Booger.

He is survived by: his daughter Debra Hoffman (Tim Kaye); his granddaughters, Rachel Cary (Joseph) and Hilary Vogt (Benjamin); his great grandchildren, Daniel and Jacob Cary; and his siblings-in-law, Vern Christensen and Janet Stevens.
