He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Irmgard; his sons, Josh Herwig and Justin Herwig; his brother Robert Herwig; his siblings-in-law, Karen Herwig, Judy Hill and Richard Hill (Flora); and his niece Kelly Herwig.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Herwig; his sons, Jamie Herwig (Julie) and Jeremy Herwig (Aimee); his grandchildren, Erika, Chloe, Brynlee, Austin, Joshua, Maddie and Zeke; his siblings, Pam Arneson (Gregg), Heidi Johnson (Steve), Dan Herwig (Linda) and Gary Herwig; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Herwig, Sharon Majewski (John) and Jim Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
