He was predeceased by: his parents, William Briese and Clara Briese (Kohnke); his wife Caroline B. Briese (Lange); his son Ron Briese; and his siblings, Edna, Elda Briese, Arden and Wilbert Briese.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Briese (Jan) of Green Lake and Steve Briese (Connie) of Ripon; his daughters-in-law, Sandy Briese of Oshkosh and Jan Briese; and his grandchildren, Andrea Briese of Green Lake, Amber Briese (Cole) of Berlin, Nathan Briese (Alli), Hilary Briese (Andy) of Oshkosh, Rebecca Scherer (Craig) of Neenah, Lisa Failla (Joe) of St. Peters and Beth Miller (Mike) of Oshkosh. He is also survived by many other relatives including nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at Peace Lutheran Church, 440 Lake Street, Green Lake, WI 54941.
