He is survived by: his sons, Todd Ames (Sheila) and Terry Lindstrom; his daughter-in-law Mikki Studer; his grandchildren, Josh Ames, Joey Lindstrom (Taylor) and Johanna Shriver (Carl); his great grandchildren, Mila, Emerson and Marlee; and his brother Frank Ames.
