She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Johnson and Emma Johnson (Timmerberg); and her brothers, LaVern "Bud", Floyd and Donald.
She is survived by: her husband Orville Nelson; her children, Nancy Haarstad (John), Jim Nelson (Jane), Ron Nelson (Suzi), Gloria Nelson, Roger Nelson (Cindy) and Mike Nelson (Terri); and her sister Bernice Bennett. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, and with the safety and concern for others in mind, a private family service will be held.
