It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Newton (Prescott, Wisconsin), born in Sparta, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyla Hazel (Bates) and Howard Madison Carson; her husband Reed; her brother William Carson; her sister-in-law Barbara Carson (Luhman); her parents-in-law, Orville and Gladys Newton; and her brothers-in-law, John Newton and Bob Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Bill (Katie) of Maplewood, MN, Pete (Cathy) of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Sara Dingess (Bill) of Kronenwetter, WI and Randy (Marcia) of Corcoran, MN; her grandchildren, Nicholas Colby-Newton, Madelaine Johnston (Phil), Kristin Ruleau, Spencer Pluger (Danielle), Lindsay Pluger, Matthew Newton (Brittany), Marcus Newton, Ty and Maxx Newton; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Tia, Chloe and Isla. She is also survived by one nephew and several nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (N5496 County Rd QQ, Prescott, WI 54021). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
